About NJFP
The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) is a youth empowerment initiative that was launched by the Federal Government of Nigeria in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the European Union (EU).
It was created as a response to the rising unemployment rate among fresh graduates and aims to bridge the gap between academic qualifications and real-world work experience.
The primary objective of the NJFP is to boost the employability level of fresh graduates through a 12-month fully-funded internship. During which, fellows are exposed to mentorship, professional networking, on-the-job training and a lot more.
Through this programme, host organizations can benefit from the available pool of talent, while the fellows receive a monthly stipend paid by the program.
NJFP Recruitment Process
Application: Only graduates who have completed their one-year Nigeria Youth Service Corps (NYSC) can apply on www.njfp.ng to become a Fellow with all the required documentation.
Assessment and Selection: After the board has approved the application and documentation, the applicant would have to sit through a series of tests (a computer-based aptitude test, submission of video, and then a psychometric assessment)
Onboarding: Those who have successfully passed the assessments will join the applicant pool where they will build their CVs and wait for a suitable match with a Host Organization.
Work Placement: When a match has been made, the onboarding and placement processes begin. It is only after the applicant has been invited to begin work by their Host Organization, and when they resume, only then do they become a Fellow.
Mentorship & Growth: After their 12-month paid Fellowship, Fellows who have not been retained by their Host Organization or do not find other means of employment, would then be offboarded into the Talent Hub for alumni.
Alumni Talent Hub: Those in this category would receive career guidance and support for the next unpaid six (6) months in the Talent Hub.
